We are thrilled to share the success of My Gateway’s Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Program, funded under the Department of Education’s Educational Pathways Program initiative, Head Start. The program provided 13 high school students from Campbelltown Performing Arts, Thomas Reddall High School, Airds High School, and Eagle Vale High School with the incredible opportunity to kickstart their careers in the electrical industry.
Throughout the program, the students completed both theoretical and practical training at Superior Training Centre (STC), earning three units of competency that will credit their future apprenticeships. This valuable head start in their education and career development is exactly what the program aims to provide – a direct pathway to success!
An integral part of the course included three exciting Career Immersion Days, where students gained first-hand industry exposure. We are extremely grateful to the fantastic companies that hosted our students for these incredible learning experiences:
We are incredibly proud of the skills the students gained and the work-readiness they developed over the course. These experiences have set them up for a bright future in the electrical trade.
A special thank you goes out to all the companies who hosted our students and provided them with such valuable insights into the industry. We also want to give a huge shout out to their Trainer, Konrad from Superior Training Centre, for his dedication and support in helping our students thrive!
We can’t wait to run more programs like this in the future and continue supporting the next generation of skilled workers. Stay tuned for what’s next at My Gateway!
